Nothing New!

Hey guys, this post is going to be short, only becuase I thought that I should post becuase I hadn't posted in a really long time!!

Christmas break has been AWESOME!! I so do not want it to end becuause as soon as it does I have final tests the week I get back!! UHH, I dislike school very much!!

Basketball is going good but it is so rough and challenging, but I like it alot!!

Voice lessons are not my favorite any more. It has something to do with the teacher and the way she teaches. I don't like her that much any ways!!

Hey guys!! Sorry, it's been awhile since I have posted, my life has been up in the air!! Basketball is very time consuming and energy consuming too. Every day I get home around 5:30 or 5:45, and I am pooped!! My body is sore and every thing!!

We had our second pre-season game on Thursday and boy was it rough!! We played a different team and they were all black girls, except one, and they were tough little cookies!! Lets just say we could have played a whole lot better, especially me!! I played for the whole game except for like a minute, then I went back in. BOY AM I OUT OF SHAPE TOO!! There are four quarters and every quarter is eight minutes long, and this team stole the ball a lot, so of course once you got down to one end you would have to turn around and run back to the other side only to see that the other team had made another point. It was really frustrating and I really wanted my coach to pull me out and let one of the other players play, but she never did. Thankfully we pulled to gather at half time and the last part of the game we did really well.

I also, had a few break aways but every time, some one would catch up with me, or I would to the clumsy thing and trip and fall. I did that once and I got the ball back but my body was in extreme pain! When I got the fast break I could hear people yelling and stuff, but then of course, I would mess up and disappoint them all!! :P Then towards the end of the game the coach started to tell Hannah to work the ball into me, so I could work it in further to get a point, well it never really happened like I wanted it to!!

After the game though my dad and mom said that we did a really good job and they were proud of me, I was baffled!! (I like that word!) Then some of the varsity guys told me "good job" and that made me feel a little bit better. The nest morning I saw some of my team mates and they were bruised from head-to-toe!! I got my shoulder bruised, both my elbows, and my knee. It was a rough game!!

Oh yeah, I almost forgot, I have contacts now, and they work really well for basketball, but Sefa, Derek's friends has already informed Derek that I look a lot better with glasses...."Thanks Sefa!"

The result of our Pre-Season Game!

Yesterday was the lady Warriors Varsity Basketball team first game! It was pre-season so thankfully it did not count against our record! Our team met at the school at 4:30 then left for Central at 5:30! We had a blast going up there and it was a 45 minute ride. When we got there we had to wait for the first game to finish and boy we were all so nervous!!

Then the fourth quarter came of the first girls game and it was time for us to stretch and get warmed up. While we were out in the hall way warming up, some of the guys from the varsity team walk in, and they had signs!!

Our outfits are really cool! We got to wear the red ones and they were really nice! Our game started and it went well, though our team did not know what we were doing. Partially Backus we have only been working with the varsity coach for about three or four days!! :P

I fowled some girls and got fowled!! I went to the free-throw line twice. The first was a one on one, if I made the first basket then I could shoot another one! I made both of them. Then I went to the line again, only this time I got two shots and I made both of them too! It was really exciting! And then of course, you know me you guys I can't go through out one single game without taking some girl down, well the girl was going in for a lay-up and all I could do was stick out my arm, so I did and I made contact with her face! Oops, my bad!! There was a girl on the team that resembled Godzilla!! I am serious when I first saw the team, I thought she was the coach!

Any ways, the total score was 30 to 66, we lost, but hey we did really well on our first game! I had a lot of people from my school and from the other tell us that we were really good. Some of the parents from the other team said that they were looking forward when we would play that team again. I have to admit, they were not a tough as a team as what we played against in the church league. That one team with those really big girls my first year, would have creamed the team we were playing against last night!! :P

I guess I will go, even on my one day off from school I still have my two hour b-ball practice! Luv and miss you guys!!

What's New? Apparently A Lot! :P

OH MY!! My body is so tired! Trust me you guys, you may think that basketball practice is rough but let me tell you guys you have it so easy!! I envy your practices!! Today my coach pushed me so hard I was crying! She wasn't made at me or anything its just that my body was screaming out in pain while I was running suicides and she was in the background screaming, "If you want a spot, you have to prove it to me!" I was pushing my self so hard through the fist two sets then on the last one she was yelling, "The last ones have to do an extra set!" OH my, was I running as fast as I could! To make matters worse I have shine splints and my legs hurt so bad, after just 10 minutes of practice. I also could not breath so I was panicking about that I was gasping for breath like it was my last breath of life, it sounded like I was almost holding back the sobs and tears....I was!! Basketball practice really is going to teach me a whole lot of new things, and I am kind-of dreading the proses of learning it all. Well I would really appreciate you prayers, I really really really want my Varsity position, and that means I have a lot to live up to, if you are on Varsity that means you have expectations to fill. There is a heavy load on all of us right now! I would also like you guys to think of me on Monday, its our first game! Thankfully it is only pre-season, so it won't count against our record, but still our first game!!

We have team jerseys and shorts and they are so cool! I am going to be number 25, unless, some junior or senior varsity players want that number than I will have to get a new number. Our home jerseys are white with black stripes and red on the side, then black and red lettering. Our home game shorts are also white...you can guess where I am going with this!! :P *giggle* Our away jerseys are red with red shorts and our warm up jerseys are black!! The only thing that we don't have is a team shoe, only the guys get them!! :( Oh well I like my shoes any ways!!

Most of you guys know this but I am in a choir for my school and so the other day, on Wednesday, my teacher Mr. Varela asked me to sing a solo in front of 80 other students!! Yes our choir has about 80-82 students in it!! WOW, I know!! :P But any ways, I was so nervous and my voice was so shaky, I thought it must have sounded terrible, but every that has come up to me has said that I did a really good job! HA....they were just being modest! :P *giggle* One girl said that I sounded so sweet and my voice was angelic....I have no idea where she came up with that but hey, its a new memory for the book!

I miss you guys a lot and I hope that I will be able to talk to some of you guys some time soon!!

AHHH!!!

AHH!!! GUESS WHAT YOU GUYS!! I MADE THE BASKETBALL TEAM!!!! AHHH!! I WAS SO SYKED WHEN SHE POSTED THE FINAL CUT AND MY NAME WAS ON IT!! AHHH!!! *giggle*

Pre-season games start Monday! Yeah, the games are coming soon but I am so excited and I cant wait! I am going to have to work really hard, because practice is two hours long and you do a lot of hard-core drills. Derek always came home from basketball practice looking like a walking zombie, hopefully I don't look that bad! :P We do a lot of drills that I am sure you guys have not heard of before. We did one to day called "Sweet 16"......they are not a good as they sound. you have to run from side line to side line sixteen time, sprinting all the way....hence the Sweet sixteen part! :P I did well the first five sets, but then, my body was on fire! We do another drill called "fire feet" and it kind-of reminds me of a drill that some one would do if they played football. You get in you defense "squat" position and then you move your feet up and down in little steps really quick and when the coach points a certain direction you are to shuffle three steps that way and keep doing the fire feet. It sounds like practices are going to be really challenging for me, but hey they will do me good!! :P

Emma, a little birdie told me that you were to busy to play basketball this year! I have one thing to say to that crazy notion.....WHAT ARE YOU THINKING YOU ARE THE BOMB AT B-BALL!! Am I going to have to fly up there and knock you on the head to get you to come to your senses?? You should play you are really good, especially at defense and the team need your spunky attitude!!

I also got my report cars back and I happy to say, I am on my way, with some really good grades. I don't have all A's but hey at least I don't have a C in Algebra like I thought I would!!

I miss you guys a lot and it sounds like you guys are having a fun time!! Miss yah all!

The Beach, Orhtodontist, and B-ball try-outs!

Hey guys! Sorry I haven't posted in a while, this past week and weekend have been absolutely crazy!! Well we went to the beach on Sunday and it was so much fun! Like Derek said on his post, the sand really does make a nose when you walk in it!! It squeaks!! It is too funny and so cool! The beach that went to yesterday was a lot nicer than the one in Fort Pikins! Unfortunately the one that we went to this past week had a lot of crabs and biting flies!! But it was a lot nicer and not as crowded as the other one, so that's a good thing...I guess! :)

Today was a little crazy and it flew by so quick! This morning I didn't go to school. We just dropped my brother off and my mom and I went to the department of licensing. I was going to get my permit, but my mom forgot to get my birth certificate! Oops! :p Se got hers though which was a good thing! Then at nine I had a orthodontist appointment and I found out that I am getting my braces off on November 17!! I am excited and can't wait!! Basketball tryouts were today and tomorrow the coaches will post the first cut!! I was so nervous and I still am, I hope I make the team, I just want to play!!

So pray for me you guys and these upcoming weeks!! Luv yah guys, and miss yah lots!!

Whats there to Say?

Man, I feel like I am in the dark right now, and since no is posting that much the darkness right now is....unbearable!! Well Now that its the weekend and our crazy week of exams are over I can fill you guys in on some not so interesting. Nothing can compare to Judgement House performances!!

The exams were really stressful and what made them even more stressful was when I got them back!! I got my Algebra Test back and I got an 84, on point less than a B, which is what I need if I want to play sports this year!! Then came English, I was a little worried about how I did, but when I got my test back it was such a surprise. I got a 91!! So now I hope that on Wednesday I will find out what I got on my History and Biology Tests, hopefully they are good grades!!

OK, so I have a few questions....what in the world is going on there!! On Vada's blog she posted a picture of CJ, I definitely want to know why he was there. Then there was Jordan too, who else is in Judgement house that I don't know about!! :) Sounds like you guys are having fun though and I which I could have been there with you guys on your fist big night!! I have to see the video after its made and I definitely want to see some pictures!! I am so in the dark, and I don't like it...oh well!!

10 and 0!!

Hey guys!! I am so sorry that I haven't posted in a while things like always have been absolutely crazy here!! Thankfully this post is not going to be about my crazy life but instead it is going to be on some happier news!!

You guys know that Derek is/was on the basketball team right, well last night was their last game of the season and guess what.....they went 10 and 0!!! They had an undefeated season, just like last years basketball team!! AHAHAHAH!! I was so excited and so happy for my brother. My dad told him that it probably felt good to be on the winning team for a change!! :P I was so happy and proud of him!! Derek is all pumped up with basketball that he said he was sad that it had to end. But thankfully when he goes back into PE on Monday he will be playing flag-football something he enjoys every much!!

Well that's about all the exciting news I have, oh, would you guys pray for my g-ma she has back surgery again and she just needs some prayer!! Thanks a bunch guys!! Luv and Miss you all!

Mondays....I hate um!!

UHHH....I despise Monday's so much!! I don't know what it is about them, but, oh....I absolutely hate um!! :) My weekends are never long enough and it always seems like they fly by like a bolt of lightning!! Friday night was my school's fall party and it was OK just to get away from the school and out in the middle of no where, but I have to say the highscoolers down here are so immature, worse than Emma and I!! :) There are a few girls that absolutely drive my crazy and make my cheeks burn!! You guys are way more mature then them, well at least I think you are!! :P

Saturday was great!! You guys are going to hate me when I tell you this, but I made two raspberry cheesecakes!! They were so good too! The reason was because we had been invited over to some ones house and we were going to provide the desert!! Umm!! When we got the the peoples house, we found out that they had a go-kart and some motorcycles, and a lot of land to ride um on!! Jess, the girl who was in the picture on my last post, took me out for a spin, took me to the bay and even let me drive!! On the way to the bay though I saw the biggest grass-hopper I have ever seen in my life!! it was at least 4 inches long and it was stripped like a jaguar! No joke, I promise, I wanted so badly for Jess to hit it with the go-kart, but she didn't!! :O

That's about all for now, I guess. I miss you guys a lot, no words can say how much I miss you all! So I guess I will talk to you all later!!

Hey Guys!!

I thought I would download my pictures from my camera and put them on my blog so you guys could get some more visual....pictures!! :) Any who, before I do that I will up-date you guys on a few things that have been happening here! Guess what Derek did!! Every day Derek have basketball practice except on the days that he has games. Any who, on Wednesday we went to go pick him up and when we drove past the front, we didn't see him, so my dad parked got out to go see where he was. We did see Cody though, one of Derek's basketball buddies, pointing at our car though, which we thought was really strange. So my mom and I sat in the car waiting for Derek. Well my mom and I were just sitting there and she exclaimed, "He probably broke his leg...I hope not!" just a few seconds after she made that comment she saw Derek coming out of her mirror and she gasped, "He did hurt himself!" I turned around and saw Derek and Austin carry Derek, who had a huge ice pack wrapped around his ankle! My mom and I got out of the car prepared to help him. I got out of the car and looked at him and said, "Way-to go Derek!" That put a smile on his face and got his friends to laugh too! Any who, it turned out that Derek had rolled his ankle playing defence, and so the coach told his all this stuff to do, so he could play the next day. Well Thursday rolled around and we went to Baker and guess what, all the bench warmers who never got to play got their chance and Derek got to play almost the whole game!! It was very exciting!! OK, that's my news, so here are the pictures!!

To Close for Comfort!

Hey guys!! Wow, it has almost been one whole week since I last posted!! Wow, time sure flies when you are at school!

Last night was Derek's basketball game. I can safely say this with a proud smile on my face that the 8th grade Warriors have had an undefeated season!! :O Anywho, I am so glad that on Tuesday Derek got to play and he made his first shot too!! I was so happy for him and oh how I wish you could have seen the look on his face when he made that!! He was so happy and his smile was so big and all his basketball buddies were smiling and were so happy for him!! OK, back to my story, hmmm, got a little bit of track, oops!! :) Anywho, so last night they played Milton, and that the team that Derek has never gotten to be in the game when they play Milton and there's a reason for it too, they are good. They almost always use man-to-man and the press, to put a lot of pressure on our guys. Anywho, the game started off great and our team was ahead as usual, but then Milton started to pull ahead and soon they were one point ahead then, two, then three, then it looked like our perfect season just slipped down the tube!! Jared was happy though, he wanted out team to loose, the only reason was because last year the 8th grade team was undefeated and he was on that team last year and he doesn't want Derek on his first year to go undefeated. So he was cheering for Milton and when Derek would look behind at him, he would say, "You guys are doing great!"

That basketball game was the most intense game I have ever watched before. Finally the last few minutes of the game, out team tied up the score, 28 to 28, the game went into over time! Oh my word every one was screaming and my throat was hurting so bad cheering all Derek's buddies on, it was crazy! Finally the got into their rhythm and they pulled ahead winning the really close game! The final score was 28 to 33! The Warriors will continue their undefeated season.

The height lights of the game were great. I always sit with my parents, mainly because I don't have any friends to sit with. Anywho, Derek got to play and when he got the ball, those boys from Milton horded him like crazy! The other highlight was that Derek's friends Sefa (don't know if I spelled that right) made a point on the other teams goal. The ball was being thrown in and the was the positions were set up was like if their were on their side. Well it was a nice shot and he used his right hand and everything, unfortunately, it counted. I felt bad for him, but at the same time it was funny!!

OK, well that's about all the news I have right now, so I am going to go and pig out and watch some TV!!! Miss you all! I was going to say, See you guys on Sunday, but I won't will I! Luv yah
