Faces!

My titles pretty sketchy but that's because I didn't want to give my story away! So Yesterday was my drive and I rode with the same kid I rode with last week, Brock. So the evening started out and he forgot his permit (the forget full mind of boys!) so I got to drive first. I had to drive him to his house, in the rain, and the whole way there he was being a back-seat driver, so annoying! Any who so I dropped him off at his house and he had to run out into the rain to his garage door and on the way there he lost his shoe and then his sock. My instructor and I were laughing at him.

So last night I got to work on a 90 degree maneuver thing and a rounded-corner thing! The whole time I was backing up he was making weird faces at me and making me lose my concentration! HA, but it was still funny! Then it was his turn to drive, it was extremely boring! We went to Benton City to Richland to Pasco and then back to Kennewick. He assured me though on the way back that I was in good hands, then he added the part to where he was traveling at about 70 mph. Boys!! Yeah, Emma, I told you he reminds me of Tyson!!

Wednesday! Uh one of my favorite days of the week! Today was great though! Lacey, Vada, and I were sitting on the couch watching the other youth peeps play a "harmful" game of hockey! Lacey and Vada were trying to through the plastic bat at the players and Lacey threw it at Derek! Uh-oh! So he came over with his hockey stick in hand and pushed it against the handle of a ping-pong pattle. It slid across the table and it hit me right between the eyes! It hurt so bad! So now I have a bump on my fore head and a big red mark! Now that is what I call an awesome night!

Ok well thats it for about now, so enjoy and I will see you all on Sunday....maybe!

To Kill a Mockingbird

Hi! Finally I have a funny story worth posting about! On Friday night my family and I sat down to watch the movie, "To Kill a Mockingbird" with Gregory Peck and Robert Duvall. For those of you who don't know about the movie I will give you a little summary. The movie is about Atticus Finch who is a widowed lawyer who has been appointed to defend a black man who was charged with raping a girl. This movie was taken place in the time when black men, in the south, were not considered equal, but Atticus takes the assignment. I don't want to say any more so I will continue on with my awesome story.

OK, so this movie is black and white, and to me black and white movies don't seem that scary. So there is the drunk guy through out the whole movie who just kind-of creeps you out. Well in this one scene, Scout and Jem, Atticus kids, were in the car and his comes up to the windows and have this inane look on his face, it was creepy. Then at the very end of the movie there was this part in the movie where something jumped out and it scared Derek and I so bad that we were laughing so hard. I was laughing so hard that I was crying. It was hilarious!!!

OK, then my dad, at the beginning of the movie saw that Robert Duvall was in the movie. So the first character comes out and my dad declares that that was Robert Duvall. The movie continues and there's another character and my dad exclaims, "No that is Robert Duvall." The movie continues and at the very end there was a new character and my points at the screen and says, "No that is Robert Duvall." We were laughing at him through out the whole movie, because he couldn't make up his mind as to which character Robert Duvall was playing.

Well that's all for now, but I recommend that you guys should see, "To Kill a Mockingbird" it is really cute oh and very depressing.

Back to the Daily Grind!

Hey! Sorry I haven't posted in a while, I have been busy! That's starting to become a lame excuse huh? Well sorry that's all I've got. :)

Friday was a whole lot of fun! After Drivers Ed we headed over to Vada's house so we could hang out! Lacey and I talked about our books and we had some fun discussing some problems that have developed. We also watched Derek and Vada, or should I say Bonquiequie, play Guitar Hero. Derek was funny to watch since he was a beginner. Than Lacey and I kicked um off and she and I played. I have to admit that I am the worst at that game, so don't any one ask me to play! But I had fun playing with Lacey.

Vada was trying to kill a moth with a pillow. It was pretty funny. Then Derek and her started a pillow fight. Derek was trying to find ways to surprise attack Vada, but every time was a failed attempt, but it was funny!

Later we sat down to watch Becoming Jane. Even though we were aware of a section in the movie we were prepared. But after about 20 min of it Lacey and I said that our lives were scared for ever and we stopped the movie. I do not recommend any one to go see it.

Then Vada came over to our house and spent the night. We played LIFE and we laughed so hard that our sides hurt. Yeah, I didn't do that great. Then at around two o'clock we hit the hay.

Sunday was awesome! We had some really good spaghetti, and I take back what I said about the fast food, Emma! :) HE HE! Then Rachel, Derek, Emma, and I headed down to the Youth room to take down the walls. Derek had fun and I think that there was a little bit of a competition between Derek and I, but hey it was still fun! Choir was awesome, but some people, who I won't mention any names, didn't come!!! My question to you guys is...WHY NOT??? I know the reason for two of the missing peeps, but the other one remains a mystery!!

OK well I think I have said enough for now, so I will talk to you all on Wednesday!

The Secret Of Rundoon!!

OH!!! I finished the last book in the trilogy of Peter and the Starchatchers!!! It was so good too and as all ways the ending touched, me and...well never mind. Dave Barry and Ridley Pearson did a really good job and....I better not say any more or I will give the whole story away. I do have to say this though, if you haven't read any of these books, you need too!!! They are so good, they are my favorite books!! I wish they would do more, but oh well!!
So how has every body's week been going?? Mine has been absolutely crazy!! I had a Drive scheduled on Tuesday and I have to say it went really well, at least I didn't crash. Then in Drivers Ed on Wednesday there were these kids in my class who were arguing if "worser" was a word. I couldn't believe my ears, how could these kids think that that was a word?? I mean come on!! Any who, I loved the game that we played on Wednesday, it was a whole of fun! We should play games every Wednesday night, I luv it!
Today we got kicked out of our house again and we stayed out of our house for about an hour, at least. Derek and I rode bikes and just goofed around, you know wheelies, races, and hopping off the side walk. It was fun, oh and guess what I am now 27 cents richer!! I found a quarter and two pennies on the road. It was funny, every time I looked down there was a penny or a shinny quarter!! :) Well that's all I have to say for now, I need to go to work on my...."book". See you all on Sunday, not bright and early!

6 Reasons not to mess with Children!! Funny!

(1) A little girl was talking to her teacher about whales. The teacher said it was physically impossible for a whale to swallow a human because even though it was a very large mammal, its throat was very small. The little girl stated that Jonah was swallowed by a whale. Irritated, the teacher reiterated that a whale could not swallow a human; it was physically impossible.
The little girl said, 'When I get to heaven, I will ask Jonah.'
The teacher asked, 'What if Jonah went to hell?'
The little girl replied, 'Then you ask him.'

(2) A Kindergarten teacher was observing her classroom of children while they were drawing. She would occasionally walk around to see each child's work. As she got to one little girl who was working diligently, she asked what the drawing was.
The girl replied, 'I'm drawing God.'
The teacher paused and said, 'But no one knows what God looks like.'
Without missing a beat, or looking up from her drawing, the girl replied, 'They will in a minute.'

(3) A Sunday school teacher was discussing the Ten Commandments with her five and six year old. After explaining the commandment to 'honor' thy Father and thy Mother, she asked, 'Is there a commandment that teaches us how to treat our brothers and sisters?'
Without missing a beat one little boy, the oldest of a family, answered, 'Thou shall not kill.'

(4) The children had all been photographed, and the teacher was trying to persuade them each to buy a copy of the group picture.
'Just think how nice it will be to look at it when you are all grown up and say, 'There's Jennifer, she's a lawyer,' or 'That's Michael, He's a doctor'.'
A small voice at the back of the room rang out, 'And there's the teacher, she's dead.'

(5) A teacher was giving a lesson on the circulation of the blood. Trying to make the matter clearer, she said, 'Now, class, if I stood on my head, the blood, as you know, would run into it, and I would turn red in the face.'
'Yes,' the class said.
'Then why is it that while I am standing upright in the ordinary position, the blood doesn't run into my feet?'
A little fellow shouted,'Cause your feet ain't empty.'

(6) The children were lined up in the cafeteria of a Catholic elementary school for lunch. At the head of the table was a large pile of apples. The nun made a note, and posted on the apple tray:
'Take only ONE. God is watching.' Moving further along the lunch line, at the other end of the table was a large pile of chocolate chip cookies.
A child had written a note, 'Take all you want. God is watching the apples.'

Hope you enjoy these!!

Derek's Party!!

Today was great!! Derek's party worked to perfection, and every one came on time!! It was so funny when he opened the laundry door to find Nathan, Nevada, and Emma standing right there with balloons in their hands and shouting surprise! I love playing games at parties but we didn't play extreme spoons, oh well next time! It was a lot of fun to play capture the flag and ultimate though, but it was way to hot! Next time its going to be a pool party!!

I Never, I absolutely love that game! It was so much fun today because we played with people like Adam and Derek who did not now how to play. He popped his green balloon and was not happy, but it was extremely funny. I pushed Vada onto the ground, on the way to a chair, and she popped her balloon too. Emma, Lacey, Derek, and Adam all fell backwards from their chairs onto the ground, we all laughed at them, it was really funny! Well, Adam was pushed.

Oh, guess what, now my water is on and the sprinklers too!! That's a rip off, I mean come on!! Why couldn't they have been on while every one else was here!!! That makes no sense whats so ever! Well I hope that you all had a fun time, I know I did! Thanks for helping me out and not spoiling the surprise, Derek loved it!! Thanks guys!!

Another Joke!

Hey every one!! I thought I would post another joke that I found! It is really cute too, well actually funny, any who, here it is!

An older man was grocery shopping with his grandson. The toddler was crying and at times screaming at the top of his lungs. As the old gentleman walked up and down the aisles, people could hear him speaking in a soft voice.
"We are almost done, Thomas...Try not to cry, Thomas, Life will get better, Thomas."
As he approached the check out stand, he gently brushed the toddler's tears from his eyes and said again, "Try not to cry, Thomas...life will get better, Thomas."
As he was paying the chasier, the toddler continued to cry and a young woman in line behind him siad, "Sir, I think it's wonderful how sweet you're being to your little Thomas."
The old getnleman blinked his eyes a couple of times before saying, "My grandson's name is Logan. I'm Thomas."

I found that in the Choir notes that are given out to the adult choir peeps. I thought it was cute and I thought I would share it with the rest of you and I hope that that made your day!! Hope all of you had a good and fun time working!! Talk to you all on Sunday!!

Randomness!!

I thought I would imitate Emma by just putting some funny and cute stories on this post! So enjoy!!!

Author and lecturer, Leo Buscaglia, once talked about a contest he was asked to judge. The purpose of the contest was to find the most caring child. The winner was: A four-year-old child, whose next door neighbor was an elderly gentleman, who had recently lost his wife. Upon seeing the man cry, the little boy went into the old gentleman's yard, climbed onto his lap, and just sat there. When his mother asked him what he had said to the neighbor, the little boy just said, "Nothing, I just helped him cry."

Teacher Debbie Moon's first graders were discussing a picture of a family. One little boy in the picture had a different hair color than the other members. One of her students suggested that he was adopted. A little girl said, "I know all about adoption, I was adopted."
"What does it mean to be adopted?", asked another child. "It means", said the girl, "that you grew in your mommy's heart instead of her tummy!"

****************************************************
On my way home one day, I stopped to watch a Little League base ball game that was being played in a park near my home. As I sat down behind the bench on the first-base line, I asked one of the boys what the score was.
"We're behind 14 to nothing," he answered with a smile.
"Really," I said. "I have to say you don't look very discouraged."
"Discouraged?", the boy asked with a puzzled look on his face... "Why should we be discouraged? We haven't been up to bat yet."
**************************************************
Whenever I'm disappointed with my spot in life, I stop and think about little Jamie Scott. Jamie was trying out for a part in the school play. His mother told me that he'd set his heart on being in it, though she feared he would not be chosen. On the day the parts were awarded, I went with her to collect him after school. Jamie rushed up to her, eyes shining with pride and excitement. "Guess what, Mom," he shouted, and then said those words that will remain a lesson to me....."I've been chosen to clap and cheer."
**************************************************
An eye witness account from New York City , on a cold day in December, some years ago: A little boy, about 10-years-old, was standing before a shoe store on the roadway, barefooted, peering through the window, and shivering with cold. A lady approached the young boy and said, "My, but you're in such deep thought, staring in that window!"
"I was asking God to give me a pair of shoes,"was the boy's reply. The lady took him by the hand, went into the store, and asked the clerk to get half a dozen pairs of socks for the boy. She then asked if he could give her a basin of water and a towel. He quickly brought them to her. She took the little fellow to the back part of the store and, removing her gloves, knelt down, washed his little feet, and dried them with the towel. By this time, the clerk had returned with the socks. Placing a pair upon the boy's feet, she purchased him a pair of shoes. She tied up the remaining pairs of socks and gave them to him. She patted him on the head and said, "No doubt, you will be more comforta ble now." As she turned to go, the astonished kid caught her by the hand, and looking up into her face, with tears in his eyes, asked her .
"Are you God's wife?"

Most of America's populace think its improper to spank children, So I have tried other methods to control my kids when they have one of 'those moments.'
One that I found effective is for me to just take the child For a car ride and talk.
They usually calm down and stop misbehaving After our car ride together.
I've included a photo below of one of my sessions With my son, in case you would like to use the technique.
Sincerely, A Friend

I think this will work with grandchildren, nieces, and nephews as well.

Hope you enjoyed this post!!

Cleaning, Sinkerdoodles, and Winco!

Uh! This morning my dad got me up to start cleaning because we have a family coming to look at our house! Oh darn! So we have been busy cleaning and making sure our house is clean as a whistle! I don't like it!

When I came downstairs this morning my mom looked at me and asked me if i would do her a favor. I said sure and she told me that she wanted me to make some snickerdoodles! Oh Boy!! So I started them and got them finished quickly. I had to put them in the refrigerator for them to cool and when I put them into the over to bake they were fine, until I took them out! They were as thin as...well they were extremely thin and believe me it had nothing to do with the cooking, honest!! My dad looked at them and just kind-of smiled. They were kind-of good, but luckily we only made one tray full, the rest turned out fine!

Winco, I absolutely don't like going in there on my day off, so my brother and I waited in the van! Boy are we bad children!! We had a shoe fight and Derek scrunched the back seat on top of me!. I hit Derek in the nose with me flip-flop and he got stuck climbing from the back seat. It was actually really funny! Derek slapped me in the leg, with my flip-flop! That hurt!! Any who, we had a lot of fun just hanging out! :)

Lacey how can you not get that joke, its so funny!! Its one of my favorites!!

Chronicles Of Narnia and Mt.Dew!

Last night was awesome!! The Youth and Steven did really well with the music and, just the whole thing!! You guys did a really good job!! Later though we had a movie night down stairs and we watched the Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe! It was a lot of fun!! We, Emma, Vada, Lacey, Derek, Colton, and Nathan whispered for part of the time, but then we got in trouble by Ron. Oops!! Derek spilled Mountain Dew all over me, well not really just my leg and part of my shirt and arm. So then I sticky and gross, but I loved the movie!! I hope that the Youth can go see Prince Caspian, hopefully last night did not ruin that possibility.

My parents get choir notes in the mail and there is always a joke at the bottom so far this one is my absolute favorite!!

Working people frequently ask retired people what they do to make their days interesting. Well, for example, the other day I went downtown and into a shop. I was only there for about 5 minutes, and when I came out, there was a cop writing out a parking ticket.
I said to him, "Come on man, how about giving a retired person a break?"
He ignored me and continued writing the ticket.
I called him a "Nazi".
He glared at me and wrote another ticket for having worn tires.
So I called him a "doughnut eating Gestapo."
He finished the second ticket and put in on the windshield with the first. Then he wrote a third ticket. This went on for about 20 minutes. The more I abused him the more tickets he wrote. Personally, I didn't care. I came downtown on the bus, and the car that he was putting the tickets on had a bumper sticker that supported a politician that I didn't support! I try to have a little fun each day now that I am retired. It's important to me health.

I love it!! I hope that you guys have a great evening!!

BUTTERFLIES!!!

AH!!! This morning I was so nervous when I got up to sing! And I messed up!!! UH, I was so mad in the first service, the second one went better than the first. (Not really) I hope I don't have to do anything like that again. :)

Sorry that I haven't blogged in awhile, there has nothing been going around at my house that has been very...interesting. Every week is completely the same...and I am not kidding either.

SPRING BREAK!!! I AM SO EXCITED!!! I am going to do some shopping and probably hang out with Derek, oh and his b-day's coming up and I am not going to get him a $30 gift. I am sorry I may be stingy, but Derek does really not need another video game, I mean seriously!

The other night we were watching MASH and there was this guy on one of the episodes played the guitar so good!! My dad went on a guilt trip and since then his has been practicing his guitar for about an hour a day. He is so good too! I wish I could play like him!! UH his talent makes me mad!!

Oh and I must apologize to Nathan, my family and I watched the second Star Wars last night, so I guess to make everything equal I have to say that me and my family were being extremely lame last night. The bad acting was unbearable!!!!

Talk 2 you all later, later tonight actually!

Bowling and Pizza!

Yesterday was actually alright, for the most part of it. Emma and I hung out for lunch (Pizza!!) and watched Montana and Derek fight between Gene the eraser. They drew faces on him and Montana told every on that "Gene" was going to kill them, that's what usually happens around MCP. Derek also asked me if his eye was bruised from Sunday night and when I told him "no" he was very disappointed. Nathan I think he wanted you to hit him harder and he also wants to expect it, if that makes any sense.

So Bowling went pretty well except that there was a chair full of water and I accidentally sat in it! So Derek played for me and I sat there and watched. Adam was there too and the whole time we were trying to get some one else to sit in the "water chair". Derek would act like he was going to sit in it and I told him the next time he did that I was going to shove him down in the chair. He just laughed. Adam used a different strategy though, he would try to catch either Derek or Evan off guard and he would try to push them into the chair. He almost got Evan wet, but Mrs. Julie saw and the three boys got in trouble! Derek got 125 and 86, the girlish side of him did really well, so we decided that his girlish name would be Dereklina! Does that name fit him well or what!!

Drivers Ed went really well and I passed my first test. Our instructor was really proud of all of us and she told us that in her last class only one person passed the rest failed. One kid failed the class and his buddies made fun of him. I felt kind-of sorry for him...kind-of. My mom and I drove around later and we had a lot of fun for the most part. We practiced parking and I have to say I am going to have to work on that part of driving for a while before I get it.

Talk to you all tomorrow at 5:30-ish!
